Empowering Futures: Comprehensive Educational Support for Vulnerable Children and Refugee Communities

Tooro Environment Stewardship for Sustainable Development (TESSD) promotes sustainable development through environmental stewardship, education, and community empowerment.

This proposed initiative seeks donor support for educational programs that aim to provide academic and personal assistance to underprivileged children in the Districts of Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Kabarole, Kamwenge, and Bunyangabu, as well as the refugee host communities of Kyaka II and Rwamwanja refugee settlements.

TESSD proposes a comprehensive education intervention to support disadvantaged youth in these districts and settlements. The initiative will provide a wide range of support, ensuring that students can fully engage in their education and reach their academic potential. This includes academic supplies, personal belongings, and dorm essentials, as well as school fees, to alleviate the financial burden on these families.

Objectives

Project Scope

This project targets children in need from the Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Kabarole, Kamwenge, and Bunyangabu districts, as well as Kyaka II and Rwamwanja refugee host communities. The support will cover school fees, academic supplies, personal belongings, and dorm essentials for boarding school students.

Target Beneficiaries

  • Vulnerable children in the Districts of Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Kabarole, Kamwenge, and Bunyangabu.
  • Children in the refugee host communities of Kyaka II and Rwamwanja refugee settlements.
