Our History

Founded in 2015, TESSD emerged from the collective vision of a group of environmentalists, educators, and community leaders in Fort Portal. Recognizing the pressing need for a comprehensive approach to environmental conservation and community development, they established TESSD as a platform for all of us to bridge the gap between ecological sustainability and socio-economic empowerment.

Over the years, TESSD has evolved into a respected organization with a wide-ranging impact. Our initiatives have not only safeguarded and preserved natural resources but also provided education and skills to communities, particularly youth and women. We have fostered community-led development initiatives, leaving a lasting positive impact on the Tooro region and beyond.
